 Can I apply by email or regular mail?

Answer: No you cannot. Only complete, online applications are accepted for evaluation.

 When can I expect an outcome of my application?

Answer: After closure of a call, successful applicants will be contacted within two months after the deadline. Non-successful candidates will not be contacted.

 Which type of criteria are used to select scholarship holders?

Answer: Academic criteria are leading in the selection of scholarship holders. In addition, the project may give preference to applicants that are women, have special needs, or have a vulnerable status. Moreover, not more than 20% of the scholarship holders in the project may be of the same nationality.

 When do the calls for bursaries open and close?

Answer: The project uses fixed application windows. The first call for applications is open from May 6 to June 21 2024 and only applications for degree seeking (M and PhD) mobility are accepted. Later in 2024 and 2025, additional calls for applications will be launched including other types of mobility as well. These will be announced on the project website.

 Can I apply for more than one degree or at more than one university?

Answer: Yes you can, but you need to fill in a separate application for each degree you apply for. It is assumed that your first application is your favoured option. Students can benefit only from one scholarship in this programme.

 Can I apply in languages other than English?

Answer: Transcripts of diplomas that are not in English or French must be translated by an official translator into one of these languages. This does not apply to ID documents.

Maseno University, the University of Eldoret, Makerere University and the University of the Free State only accept applications and transcripts of diplomas in English. Université d’Abomey-Calavi and Université Evangelique en Afrique accept applications in both English and French.
